Keep checking back for new designs.

Something for your table...

Here is one of my favorite things to make lately. I love having fun with colors and this design allows me to mix and match with different patterns.
This tablerunner measures approximately 18 x 32 inches. The fabric I chose for this tablerunner has ovals of blues, greens, creams and browns. The binding is done in a contrasting stripe from the same fabric line. I have backed it with demin to make it sturdy as well as reversable. It is quilted with brown thread for an interesting contrast.
I have this tablerunner available for sale for $40. If you are interested or have another color in mind with the same design please contact me at my email address.

Denim Tote Bags

Hello everyone! Check out these patchwork denim tote bags. I began saving all my denim scraps and started sewing them together to make a larger piece of patchwork and decided it would make a good tote bag. Each bag has a colorful cotton lining and matching nylon handles for sturdiness. These bags are so versatile that you can pretty much use them for anything from library books to toys to clothing. I specifically designed these bags to be washable.

At this time I have three bags already finished and ready for sale. Approximate size for each bag is 14 inches x 17 inches. Each one is priced at $30.

1) Featured at the top left: Lining is black with a rainbow of polka dots. The handles are bright pink. Bag is machine washable, lay flat to dry.

2)Featured at top right: Lining is light blue with polka dots in varying shades of blue and brown. The handles are dark brown. Bag is machine washable, lay flat to dry. THIS BAG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

3)Featured at bottom right: Lining has a brown background with bright turquoise flowers. The handles are a turquoise, made from cotton. Bag is machine washable, tumble dry low.

If you are interested in any of these bags please email me. If there is a color you would like let me know and I can create a bag specifically for you.

Where It All Began...

Here is one of the first denim quilts to inspire me. My mom made denim quilts for graduations, weddings, etc. and I loved the one that she gave me to take to college. It still is on my bed to this day and is the most indestructible quilt I own.

Now I have started taking over the construction of these quilts for my mom and I to give out to friends and family. Typically they are throw size-the perfect size to curl up on the couch and watch a movie.

Over the years we have produced more than 25 of these simple denim quilts. All of the denim used for these quilts comes from old jeans we have picked out of our stash. The stash consists of garage sale jeans and those pairs donated to us by friends and family. Some of the most unique quilts are constructed using colored denim from the past.

We use mostly flannel and sometimes twill on the back in a contrasting stripe, plaid, or print. This makes the quilt even cozier and more cherished to the recipient.

If you are interested in this type of quilt, please email me your thoughts and ideas.

Up and running

Hello everyone!

I have created this blog to show you what I have been working on in my spare time. My passion is sewing as most of you know and my favorite textile to create with is denim. I specifically try and reuse denim from jeans, and have had some fun designing different items. I will post pictures soon of some of my designs along with prices. Take a look and see if there is anything you like. If you would like something else let me know and we can work something out.

Please check back soon as I will be updating with my newest creations!
